Support KQNY!!!

My beloved radio station—- KQNY 91.9 (—where I am a DJ and Host is having its fall fund drive. Support us! We need you. We are small! Fledgling even. We’ve only been up and running this little community radio station for two years in this incarnation.

If you go to the website you can hit the ‘donate’ button and have at it. Tax deductible! A happy joyous thing to do. Your donation goes to help keep local programming local. We covered the fires last summer. We are the only station in these here mountains that plays independent and ‘alternative’ new releases. We are the only station up here not proclaiming a religious or political or a politically religious or religiously political viewpoint. We don’t think you’re going to hell.

Aside from that? Your contribution helps keeps our door and airwaves open and helps fulfill my lifelong fantasy of being a DJ. I haven’t had control of airwaves for a couple of hours a week since I worked at Lovell’s in Uptown Whittier in the early 90s. Listen to Milkshake & Honey Mondays at 3-5 pm. Stream it on the Internet baby.

And the Under the Covers Book Club show is finally getting off the ground. I’m hosting a show featuring local and small press writers, local book clubs , discussing and reading their work and talking about the books they’re reading. LIterary mountains, people!

So SUPPORT US! Thank you!
