Milkshake & Honey’s Monday set: Misty Snow

It’s not the smart ones that silence you, it’s the insecure ones. I remember my mother asking me why I couldn’t just be nice when my stepfather was horrendous. I remember when I got fired for being female in the early 90s being told why couldn’t I just be understanding that the owner of the record store wasn’t as smart as I was. Why is the burden always on the ‘smart’ ones to tolerate the insecurity and stupidity of others?

That’s the theme of Milkshake & Honey’s 3-5 pm set today. Hell hath no fury like Sierra Madres and writerchicks scorned. We say it in the music.  It’s an oldie but a goodie. I’m feeling it today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bteY_BqX40E
